Why Craft Beer Soap?

Backyard Bees soaps are all made with unique recipes and real ingredients. Our craft beer soaps are no exception

Using craft beers from local brewing companies is a perfect way to source local ingredients and make some amazing beer soaps! Soaps made with fermented hops (ie, beer) are extra bubbly, and have a rich and creamy lather.

The beers also provide a natural color to the soap. Red Ted, is, literally… red! But not a red dye that stains your towel or your skin!

And don’t worry. The scent of beer does not survive the soap making process. But the soaps do have a unique and warm fragrance, even without adding essential oils.

What makes a natural beer soap better than others?

Lots of things. In this case, we say it’s the craft beer from Bridge and Tunnel Beer Company and Bright Eye Beer Co. Just like Backyard Bees, all their beers are made by hand with really high quality ingredients.

Seriously, beer soaps have an extra kick of bubbles, and the Queen does love bubbles! She also loves that this bar is perfect for sensitive skin; it smells fabulous but it is naturally scented.

Are Beer Soaps Just for Guys?

Not really. Guys, girls, men, women… We did make create our beer soap line with men in mind though. Andto create a rustic, funky, big bar of delicious smelling, cleansing soap!

Another “manly” soap (that woman love) is Green Tea and Turmeric. There’s no beer in it though…just green tea and lots of other great ingredients!

About STOUTFULL

STOUTFULL doesn’t smell like beer, don’t worry. But it smells delicious. Customers sometimes don’t believe us when we tell them there are no extra essential oils added to this one!

Like it’s name, this natural soap has a big, full, body.

Naturally scented by the grains used in the making of a good stout, you’ll bee surprised by its lather, creaminess, and moisturizing properties!

About Red Ted

Sometimes we don’t know where to start. RED TED is absolutely cleansing, moisturizing, bubbly and oh! – the fresh and spicy scent of rosemary, black spruce, pine, peppermint and a dash of lemon?

[sigh out loud}

This beer soap is a bit complicated, with a long list of ingredients (listed below). That’s ok. They deserve RED TED, inspired by a red ale by Bright Eye Beer Co.

The truth is Red Ted is a smooth natural red ale and it is really delicious. But the Queen has fun…she drinks half the can (or shares it with friends) and uses the rest of the ale to color this bee-u-t-full soap.

Green Gift Ideas:

  1. Grab a bar or two of our natural beer soaps and wrap up with a gift certificate to your favorite local brewery. Make it an adventure and visit a new one.
  2. A visit to a thrift shop or garage sale often yields some fun beer mug or steins to make the gift presentation special and bee-u-t-full!
  3. If you want to mix a beer soap with a different type of ‘manly soap’, Mountain Man is one of our best selling soaps for men. DEEP beard balm is also a unique little add-on to a gift.
